COOKING CLASSES OVERVIEW

Gaining Confidence in the Kitchen

The kitchen is a magical space when filled with the warmth and fragrances of homemade baked goods and aromatic meals. Culinary School of the Rockies invites you to discover, rekindle, and grow your cooking passion and confidence. Enroll in a class and join us in the kitchen. Everyone is welcome to sign-up and get cooking!

CSR offers a wide variety of hands-on cooking classes for Home Cooks where you roll up your sleeves, whip up dishes and share a meal at the end of class. The majority of our Home Cook classes are one- or two-day workshops held weekday nights, as well on Saturdays and Sundays.

For those interested in foundational techniques and a more in-depth look at the basics, our signature five-day Basic Cooking Techniques is the perfect starting point for students of all skill levels, from the beginner to the more experienced cook. Understand the basic foundations of cooking, become more liberated from reliance on recipes, and truly experience the joys of cooking.

For students interested in exploring the magic of pastries and baking, CSR offers a fantastic five-day Basic Pastry Techniques course for students of all skill levels. Learn to make puff pastry, caramelize sugar, bake cakes and tortes, and work with chocolate.

Techniques courses are offered in both a 5-week format (one evening a week for 5 weeks) or as a 5-day cooking vacation (5 consecutive daytime classes).

All classes focus on the art of cooking emphasizing use of the freshest seasonal ingredients when possible. Please visit our class calendar, or give us a call to discuss class details or to discover which class works best for you.

Advanced Classes — Ready to Learn More,
But Not Ready To Go Pro?

Our most advanced Home Cook class, Culinary Skills, is a hands-on, 20-week course designed to take you to a whole new level of confidence and competence with your cooking skills. Designed for dedicated and more experienced cooks, you will gain a thorough understanding of the artistry of food, flavor components, presentation and plating, and the orchestration of entire meals.

If you're a passionate baker who dreams of creating irresistible desserts and candies, CSR has the course that will sweeten your skills — Pastry Skills. This course is specifically designed to kick your pastry skills up a notch and set you on a path to creative, innovative and confident baking at home.
